The 7 Ups!

1. Wake Up !!

Decide to have a good day.
"This is the day the Lord hath made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance,
But the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth,
So He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.

"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!
. . . For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything.
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
We will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!
. . . To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me".
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!
. . . For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!
. . . Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead
PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6

A POSITIVE THOUGHT

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem;
Not to mention that Friday at Calvary.
Face it, He's crazy about you.

Aprils Daily Scripture

Today's Scripture

Matthew 14:19-21
Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. And he took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and asked God's blessing on the food. Breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave some of the bread and fish to each disciple, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and they picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. About five thousand men had eaten from those five loaves, in addition to all the women and children!

Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fish to feed over five thousand people. What He originally was given seemed insufficient, but in His Hands it became more than enough.
We often feel that our contribution to Jesus is meager, but He can use and multiply whatever we give Him, whether it is talent, time, or treasure. It is when we give them to Jesus that our resources are multiplied !!

Heavenly Father, You are the Giver of all things.
Lord, thank You today for this example in Your Living Word of just how Big You are ! You can do all things ! You exceed all our expectations and dreams ! Thank You Lord God for loving us and for always providing for us.
Lord, take our gifts ; talents You've blessed us with, and multiply them to reach Your Kingdom.
Thank You Jesus ! Thank You Jesus !
In Your Wonderful Mighty Name, Amen..

Have a wonderful week !
God bless you all !

And He Walks.....

And he walks !!
He could hear the crowds screaming “crucify” “crucify”…
He could hear the hatred in their voices,
These were his chosen people. He loved them,
And they were going to crucify him.
He was beaten, bleeding and weakened… his heart was broken,
But still He walked.

He could see the crowd as he came from the palace.
He knew each of the faces so well. He had created them.
He knew every smile, laugh, and shed tear,
But now they were contorted with rage and anger…his heart broke,
But still He walked.
Was he scared? You and I would have been, so his humanness would
Have mandated that he was. He felt alone. His disciples
Had left, denied, and even betrayed him.
He searched the crowd for a loving face and he saw very few.
Then he turned his eyes to the only one that mattered
And he knew that he would never be alone.
He looked back at the crowd, at the people who were spitting
At him, throwing rocks at him and mocking him and he knew
That because of him, they would never be alone.
So for them, He walked.
The sounds of the hammer striking the spikes echoed through
The crowd. The sounds of his cries echoed even louder,
The cheers of the crowd, as his hands and feet
Were nailed to the cross, intensified with each blow.
Loudest of all was the still small voice inside his
Heart that whispered “I am with you my son”,
And God’s heart broke.
He had let his son walk.
Jesus could have asked God to end his suffering,
But instead he asked God to forgive, Not to forgive him,
But to forgive the ones who were persecuting him.
As he hung on that cross, dying an unimaginable death,
He looked out and saw, not only the faces in the crowd,
But also, the face of every person yet to be,
And his heart filled with love.
As his body was dying, his heart was alive. Alive with
The limitless, unconditional love he feels for each of us.
That is why He walked.
When I forget how much My God loves me,
I remember his walk.
When I wonder if I can be forgiven,
I remember his walk.
When I need reminded of how to live like Christ,
I think of his walk.
And to show him how much I love him,
I wake up each morning, turn my eyes to him,
And I walk.
This was shared by a friend !!
Praise God and Remember Easter !!

Positive Count

My Grandchildren !!!

Positive Count

Count your blessings instead of your crosses,
Count your gains instead of your losses,
Count your joys instead of your woes,
Count your friends instead of your foes.

Count your courage instead of your fears,
Count your laughs instead of your tears.
Count your full years instead of your lean,
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth,
Count on God instead of yourself.

Amen !!

Do You Love Him ?

You Love Him?

THE POEM
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

Today I made a choice !!

Colossians 1:29"
"That's what I'm working so hard at day after day, year after year, doing my best with the energy God so generously gives me" MSG

Today, when I awoke, I made a choice, this is the best day of my life, ever!

There were times over the past years, I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did, I'm going to celebrate!

My celebration is for the unbelievable life I've had so far: Many accomplishments, successes, blessings and, yes ---we all have hardships. All have made me stronger.

Today my head is held high with a happy heart.

I will give God the glory for seemingly simple things:
The snow that gently falls to the ground, the bright sunshine and fluffy clouds, trees and flowers beginning their annual trek to budding. I choose today to revel in these and the other magnificent creations from my Heavenly Father.

Today I choose to share my excitement for life. For God has created me for such a time as this!

Right now is time to stop worrying about the future and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me.
Today I'll remember what Mary Crowley said, "Worry is a misuse of imagination."

This evening as the sunsets in the west I'll look upon the bright crimson sky and give God praise for all he has created.

As the stars pop up in the sky tonight, I will raise my eyes and hands to heaven and stand in awe of all that God has created for me to enjoy. And just say, Thank You."

The day ends as I lay my head on my pillow and I celebrate the end of the best day of my life. For as I sleep through the night, I'll wake tomorrow with the opportunity to make a choice to have today be the best day of my life.

Prayer: Father thank you for making today the best day of my life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Prayer for our Nation...

Oh God,

Our nation needs to hear Your voice. We have become so self-absorbed that we are unable to even receive the simplest of messages. God, shake us from our self-imposed state of denial. Allow Your message of love and life, truth and forgiveness to be heard from every mountaintop and valley. Allow Your Spirit to sweep throughout this land so that we might be shaken to our very core and realize that You are God and that we need You. O Almighty God, let it be so. In Your name we ask this. Amen.

Dear God You have said that You sent forth Your Word and healed them...
Father today we stand on that same Word.. for You are the same, yesterday, today and forever! You have also said.. I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Father I take Your Word and bind sickness in these we pray for... and I stand in agreement with others who will pray this with me... I worship You my LORD and God, and Your blessing will be on our food and water. For You will take away sickness from among us!! I praise You Lord and will not forget all Your benefits.. You forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases.. Father I pray these promises for those whose names are above... standing in faith knowing that the truth will set us free!! Amen and Amen

Someone is Praying for you!

Somewhere someone's praying
Down upon their knees
Lifting you before the Throne
With love and gentle pleas

Asking God to give you strength
To face another day
And when the night is darkest
Shine light upon your way

Somewhere someone's kneeling
To whisper your name in prayer
Knowing that you need to feel
God's love and tender care

They intercede on your behalf
Because they love you so
Knowing that you have a need
To their Father they will go

They pray when you're not able
To speak a single word
What peace there is in knowing
Their prayers will be heard

They lay you on the altar
As they kneel there at His feet
Giving all your cares to Him
There at the mercy seat

Our God is always listening
To every earnest prayer
When we look to Him for help
The answer is always there

It's such a cofort to know
That someone prays for you
Placed within His loving hands
Those prayers will see you through

As you kneel before the Father
Thank Him for those who care
When you bow before the mercy seat
Whisper their name in prayer

Falling Star

There’s a special place beyond the clouds,
Where golden rivers flow,
A place where sadness never dwells,
And warmth and sunshine glow.

Amidst the clouds, celestial beings,
With wings and halo’s bright,
Flutter softly through the air,
In divine eternal light.

This place it knows, no sorrow,
And tears here never fall,
For in the presence of the Lord,
Great love is felt by all.

And in this wondrous paradise,
Beyond the starlit sky
The smallest of the angels,
Is learning how to fly.

She carefully lifts her feathered wings,
And holds her head up high,
She soars throughout the universe,
With confidence and pride.

Yet this tiny, pure, angelic child,
Has one thing she must do.
She searches out the brightest star,
To send back down to you.

There is no greater loss in life,
Than those who’ve lost their child,
Yet tiny angels only fly,
When they see their parents smile.

So when you look up to the sky,
And see a falling star,
Just know the child you grieve so much,
Is never all that far.
